July 2008
It has been a very long time since I updated this website. A lot has changed over the past few months.
As always I have been doing my best to try and get into JPG magazine. I am happy to report that I got one image selected into one of the photo challenges. The category was Close Call, the image that I submitted was of our house damage that we had at the end of February, just after I last updated the website.
The winning image is above, this is our hall bathroom. Title is Fresh Pine Scent. In the photo collage my image is #4. You can see the full page at:

The week ending July 4th my family joined other family members at the beach for a weeks vacation. I have a lot of great pictures and memories from that week that I will share but I also received some great news when I returned to my home and internet connection. I entered a contest at Zoo Atlanta. The contest was to take a current picture of the giant panda Lun Lun and her daughter Mei Lan before they seperated them. It had been months since I entered my photo and to my surprise when I returned home there was an email from the zoo saying that my image was one of the four winning photos. I am very excited about this since they are making banners with the winning images. Once they are up I will be at the zoo taking pictures of the banners. Below is the image I entered that won.
Mei Lan was walking over to her Mom who was peacefully laying down. Mei Lan decided to crawl over her Mom and then it looked like she stoped to nurse. I have a series of images, this was just one that I thought was really cute and unusual to submit.
So far that is it. Soon I will post images from my vacation.

Snow in Georgia. It does not last long but it reminds me of home and makes everything look so pretty.

**This bench no longer exists. It was taken out by the tree that fell into our house in February 2008.
